What remains after many years? Being.. Stepping away from ink, I began applying layers of deep magentas, crimsons, and bruised purples without a subject in mind, letting the physical act of moving paint become my meditation. Through thick brushstrokes and violent scrapings, these two ethereal, entangled figures eventually revealed themselves to me, emerging directly out of the darkness. When you look at the blurred boundaries between these two forms and think about the title Being.., what kind of unspoken connection do you feel? What story does this visceral collision of color tell you about the raw energy of human vulnerability?
